POSITION: Reporting to the Campus President the Director will serve as the education management leader for the campus, cultivating positive, supportive relationships with compliance and accreditation agencies and regulatory entities as well as campus and corporate personnel.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Company has multiple campuses across the country that are typically facilities of 110,000 to 250,000 square feet of classroom and lab space with a student enrollment at peak utilization of up to 2700 with a staffs of 100 to 170 employees. The Director of Education provides leadership at the campus level and typically manages a staff of up to 85 instructors through ten direct reports.

Typical Responsibilities Include:


 



  • Provide dynamic leadership to the campus Education Department. 

  • Develop a solid leadership team of Education Managers and Support Staff to ensure the achievement of student outcomes (retention, completion, satisfaction, and employment), efficient course scheduling, development and assignment of instructors, and resolution of service and administrative issues.  

  • Manage daily department operations to remain within budgetary constraints and achieve targeted operating margins. 

  • Oversight responsibility for recruitment, training, evaluating, and retaining Managers and qualified Instructors. Supervise the completion of staff and instructor development plans and annual performance evaluations. 

  • Insure Managers, Instructors and Staff understands the corporate and campus mission, all elements of their role, and their responsibility for compliance with regulatory and other defined policies and procedures. 

  • Lead daily student retention activities that include, but are not limited to: new student orientation, tracking attendance rates and contacting absent students, coordinating student academic advising, and resolving student needs, concerns and behavioral issues. 

  • Ensure reporting staff and instructors are trained on and achieve compliance with State, Department of Education, Institutional Accreditation and Company regulatory policies and procedures. 

  • Participate as an integral part of the campus budget process, monitoring and controlling the departments expense budget of $7M to $9M.               


 


EXPERIENCE &


SKILLS: Our client seeks an individual with eight to ten years of business experience with three to five of those years at management levels. Managerial experience could have been gained in the businesses of proprietary education, manufacturing, distribution or retail operations.


 


A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
