Chief Operating Officer – Group Dental Practices
 
APDC, doing business as Access Dental Centers (Access Dental), is a dental practice management corporation with annual revenues of $26 million dollars employing about 200 individuals in 15 locations in Northern California.
 
Access Dental will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in December of 2009 with a history of profitable quarters, without exception, in its nearly 20 years of operations.
 
The company is posed for significant growth. The current management believes that the revenues of the company could grow by 100% or more in the next two years through expansion to new locations and increased revenues from existing operations.
 
Access Dental is affiliated with a group of companies (Group) that in aggregate are expected to generate $150,000,000 in revenues in 2009 with operations in US and India.
 
The individual for this position needs to have extensive management experience of at least 10 years in various capacities and have had at least 5 years of experience in management of healthcare field or other service oriented fields that operate through multiple locations. This position requires the ability to manage an operation with hundreds of employees, creating a corporate management team that can support the operations and interact with other divisions of the Group. The position is responsible for not only day to day operations of the division, but will also be responsible for leading the expansion of the business in new geographic areas. The individual will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the Group.
 
Several mid management staff report to this position, including operations director, director of marketing, purchasing and compliance, human resources, new business development and training. The individual needs to be comfortable with studying and reviewing financial information, developing financial and operational metrics and developing strategies for minimizing liability aspects of the operations.
 
Even though a direct knowledge of group dental practices is helpful, it is not a requirement for this position. However, if the individual does not have the expertise in the dental field, the individual needs to gain operational knowledge of this area in a relatively short period. Leading the management team of this area and overseeing its current operations and developing growth strategies will eventually require in-depth understanding of the dental field.
 
The compensation for the position will have a base salary of up to $XX0,000 plus bonuses that would be in relation to the expansion of revenues and profitability of the division.
